Alpaca naturally repels moisture, and smells. Lucky you, these products don't need much washing. Hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent like Woolite or baby shampoo. Carefully swirl the alpaca item around in the water, and do not wring, twist, or pull on the wet item. Lay your item flat to dry on a towel and blot to remove excess water. Dry clean ok. DO NOT MACHINE WASH, OR TUMBLE DRY.
Brass will naturally oxidize over time, turning a more muted antiqued color and tarnish. To clean and polish your brass jewelry, use warm water and a small amount of mild liquid soap to remove any dirt, pollutants, skin oils, etc. from the metal. Gently rinse and dry. If more polishing is needed, a paste made of baking soda, water, and lemon juice can be applied to the item with a soft cloth. Gently rub until the item is clean, then wash the mixture off using running water. Dry and buff with a clean cloth. Store bought, brass polishing mixtures do the trick as well.
Acai and bombona seeds are durable but are sensitive, when immersed into water. Do not take your jewelry into the shower or a swimming pool. Too much water can possibly distort the beads, and cause dyes to run.
